Nikki,

Okay, so last year I liked this guy a lot, and he always flirted with me in Social Studies, like pulling my desk closer to his and moving my stuff to his desk. I never told my friend that I liked him but she must of known because she always told him in front of me that I liked him, and I would say stiff like "Shut up, *friend's name*!". But I think he thought that I was saying a didn't like him so he kinda stopped flirting with me. A little bit later, like a month, he started again, but then that same friend declared to me that she liked him. She asked Patrick out through a friend, and he wanted to stay friends so she went and found someone else over the summer. Now we're back in school and he's not in my team (In Eight Grade theres four teams, north, east, south, and west), and I haven't talked to him yet, and I don't have any classes with him. What should I do?

-Lolli

Dear Lolli,
Do you have Patricks email address? If so, why not email him casually, and build your relationship back up. Then, ask him if he wants to hang out some time. How about you, him, and some other friends (girls and guys) go to the movies to make him feel more comfortable.

I hope I could help you out! Good luck!

Even when you make new ones, be sure to keep the old ones. New school? New town? None of your friends there? So, youve made some new friends. You should hang out with them! Definetley! But, dont forget about those old friends of yours! Dont think you can stay in touch? Is it too much work? Not really. Its plain and simple. Make a phone call, and catch up. Laugh, joke, and just talk! Make plans to get together. Maybe, youll email them instead! Or IM, or MySpace, or Facebook, or any other online communication you may have. Or, just text them. There are many ways to stay in touch, as long as both people are willing. Me and one of my very best friends decided that we're going to hang out every weekend. Saturday is out usual day. Me, her, and a few of my other friends are going to see Destroyed this weekend! Also, Im bringing one of my new friends! Thats another idea! Maybe, you can bring your new and old friends together! Who knows. You just may be adding one to the gang! My main point, dont forget about those other friends. Sometimes, it feels like they dropped off the face of the Earth, I know. But believe it or not, they havent. And theyre wondering how youve been, or if you really have dropped off the face of the earth. Pick up the phone, or open up the computer.
